About Us:
RockStep Capital is seeking a dedicated Project Coordinator to join our dynamic Construction team in our Houston office.  If you have a passion for managing complex projects and are eager to contribute to a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment, this role is for you!

Position Summary:
As a Project Coordinator, you will support the VP of Construction in overseeing a variety of construction projects. Your role will involve managing bids, coordinating project activities, ensuring timely reporting, and maintaining essential documentation. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage multiple priorities will be key to your success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bid Management (20%):

    • Review and confirm project scopes and specifications.
    • Assist with cost validation and create RFPs.
    • Manage bid processes, prepare bid tabs, and coordinate contract drafting.
  • Project Coordination (60%):

    • Liaise between contractors and RockStep to ensure project alignment.
    • Maintain comprehensive project files and track progress.
    • Monitor change orders, contractor punch lists, and tenant deliverables.
  • Project Reporting (10%):

    • Provide accurate and timely project updates to management and tenants.
    • Handle warranty repair calls and ensure issues are resolved promptly.
  • VP Support (10%):

    • Assist with due diligence, risk management, and project close-out tasks.
    • Provide general support for special projects and maintain confidentiality.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience:

    • 4+ years in construction management, real estate, or a related field.
    • Proven ability to manage complex projects and work independently.
  • Skills:

    • Strong communication and organizational abilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
    • Attention to detail and strong time management skills.
